ENGLISH DIVISIONS/CLASSES

JUMPERS (2’3” – 2’6”)
Jumper, timed jump-off – No time limit for the 1st round – horses with no jumping faults will advance immediately to the jump off.

WALK/TROT Division - (Open to all, split by age if necessary)

Walk/Trot Equitation - To be shown at a walk & trot both directions of ring. To perform at the discretion of the judge. To be judged on seat, hands & overall performance

Walk/Trot Pleasure - To be shown at a walk & trot both ways of the ring. Judged on manners, performance & suitability of horse to rider.

Ground Poles - To trot a course of ground poles. Judged on general ability & control of horse.

BEGINNER EQUITATION - Limited to Riders who have never in their show career won 3 blue ribbons in the following or equivalent classes. Once you have won 3 blue ribbons in a particular class, you are ineligible to compete in that class.

Walk/Trot/Canter Equitation - To be shown at a walk, trot & canter both ways of the ring. To stand quietly & back readily as requested. Judged on hands, seat & overall performance. OCH&FC Benefit Class #17- $25

Cross Rails (18") – once around, trotting allowed - To jump a course of 8 crossrails not to exceed 18" in height. Judged on hands, seat & performance.

SHORT/LONG STIRRUP (Open to all, split by age if necessary)

Walk/Trot - To be shown at a walk & trot both ways of the ring. To be judged on seat, hands & overall performance.

Cross Rails - To jump a course of 8 cross rails not to exceed 18" in height. May trot or canter the course. Judged on general ability & control of the horse

Pleasure Horse or Pony - Walk, trot & canter both ways of the ring, stand quietly & back

Cross Country Pleasure - Walk, trot & canter both ways of the ring, extended trot stand quietly & back

CHILDREN'S/ADULT EQUITATION (2’) (May be split according to age) – open to riders who have not competed over fences over 2’6” or higher – – to be judged on hands, seat, guidance & control of the horse
